Employment
The port of Ghent counts 68,751 jobs*, of which 28,042 are direct and 40,709 are indirect jobs. This represents 15% of employment in the province of East Flanders. The port comprises some 300 port-related companies.
Added value
The port generates an added value of 7.09 billion Euros*, 3.36 billion Euros of which are direct added value and 3.73 billion Euros are indirect. Consequently, the port provides for 25% of added value in the province of East Flanders.
